UNCLE JACK'S MEAT HOUSE

BIO:

Born in Knoxville, Chef Chris Poston with Uncle Jack’s Meat House in Duluth, was raised all over Georgia. He attended Middle Creek and Collins Hill High School locally. “I love Gwinnett County...it’s just close enough to the big city without all the people,” Chef says.

CULINARY BACKGROUND:
After living on canned food, Chef Chris started whipping up better dishes and a roommate suggested he work in food. Chef Chris took the advice and earned his culinary degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, now Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. He credits his culinary talents though by learning from everyone else. “I slept on a lot of couches, working for free sometimes just to learn from any chef that would let me watch and learn,” Chef says.

FAVORITE CULINARY MEMORY:
“I just love to talk about food,” Chef says, “Some of the greatest conversations with people has been about food...it’s the ice breaker with strangers.”

Fun Fact ABOUT CHEF:
Chris loves cats and spends spare time with the ASPCA helping out.

On MY Bucket List:
Chris wants to get his pilot’s license one day. “And I’d like to be known for my food,” he says.

ABOUT UNCLE JACK'S:
Uncle Jack’s Meat House is an award winning American Bar & Grill featuring USDA prime beef, fresh seafood, custom blend burgers, signature sandwiches, scratch made desserts, local beers, boutique style wines and small batch cocktails. It’s a steakhouse for everyone!
